The 5th seeded Flyers team kicked off the USSSA 13u capturing an extended time tie-game against previously unbeaten St. John Tomahawks scoring 6 runs in the extra frame to cruise to a 10-5 victory. Then, in the semi-finals, the Flyers revenged a previous loss at the hands of the Triple Crown Threat, scoring early and often, winning 10-4. Though the Flyers came up short against Victory Baseball in the Championship, they fought hard and no one scored more runs against the champs than did the Flyers.
The Flyers - Amones Team had many great performances throughout the tournament. Accumulating a team-leading 4 hits in the 3 games included Colin Ward (1 triple and 2 doubles), Jax Smith (1 triple), Matt Sandrick, and Zach Hanchar (1 triple, 1 double, 5 runs scored). Brock Redman had a team-leading 5 RBI while getting hit by a pitch twice as well. The Flyers' pitching staff was led by Phillip Amones and Mark Johnson who each recorded victories and had 5 strikeouts apiece.
